MasterSwitch Controlled Power Distribution Units
Advanced, remote power distribution and control for network administrators, Co-location facilities, ISPs, and applications where remote control of outlets is required

The MasterSwitch Series provides solutions for a variety of applications in the technology industry. While every product in the series has the base functionality to allow for remote rebooting or power control of attached equipment, each product in the series provides added features targeted to specific markets and needs. These markets include server farms, datacenters, branch offices, ISPs, and Co-Location facilities. APC’s MasterSwitch is a power distribution unit (PDU) that allows users to control power to connected devices. The on/off/reboot capability of this unit is ideal for any situation where simply rebooting or power cycling is required of equipment or "locked-up" servers. MasterSwitch plus allows users to control power to individually connected devices and gracefully shutdown or reboot up to eight connected servers running different operating systems. MasterSwitch Vertical Mount (VM) provides the ability to manage the current draw and set alarm thresholds based on customer requirements while still providing remote on/off/reboot capabilities. In addition, it mounts vertically requiring zero U space allowing maximum use of rack space for network equipment. MasterSwitch Power Receptacles increase the maximum load amperage controlled by a MasterSwitch unit by allowing for loads to be shifted from the MasterSwitch to a separate branch circuit.

Basic Power Distribution Units/Outlet Strips
Provides additional outlets for rack configurations.

APC offers a wide variety of basic rack-mount power distribution units (PDUs) that allow users to distribute power throughout a rack or enclosure. Whether the rack or enclosure is located in a large datacenter or in a small branch office, power must be distributed to equipment. APC's PDUs offer both vertically and horizontally mounted power strips, as well as a range of amperage and voltage options.

PowerStruXure Rack-mount Power Distribution Units
Power distribution units that provide the power consumption via a digital display.

APC's Specialized Rack-Mount Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provide power distribution for APC's NetShelter VX. These metered PDUs provide the ability to monitor the current draw and set alarm thresholds that when exceeded, provide both visual and audible alarms. In addition, the digital display on the unit provides on-site installers the ability to monitor the total current draw as equipment is connected to the PDU. These features virtually eliminate the possibility of an overloaded circuit. Use APC's Automatic Transfer Switch in conjunction with these Specialized Rack-Mount PDUs to provide redundant power to single-corded equipment.

Stationary Power Distribution Units
APC's space-saving, 3-phase Power Distribution Units were designed to efficiently and effectively fit into data center and IT environments.

The APC PDU can deliver as much as 300kVA of energy to your distributed load. All units offer full front access for service maintenance. This feature dramatically increases the possibilities for equipment placement, while decreasing the requirements for footprint space. In addition, there is virtually no limit to the number of Side Cars (with panel boards) that can be added to accommodate a high or expanding circuit breaker count. The APC PDU further allows the customer to choose from three levels of equipment monitoring: Basic, Advanced and Premium. Finally, these units can be smartly aligned with APC NetShelter rack systems to achieve a seamless, aesthetically pleasing integration among your entire APC-provided infrastructure.

Automatic Transfer Switch
Provides redundant power to single-corded equipment.

APC's Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), also known as the Redundant Switch, is a high availability switch that has two input cords, one for each AC line, which provide redundant power to connected equipment. This product is designed to supply power to the load from a primary AC line. If that AC power becomes unavailable due to any reason, the ATS will automatically begin sourcing power from a secondary AC line. The transfer time from one line to another is seamless to the connected equipment. The ATS can withstand 0 to twice the nominal input voltage while preventing any possibly damaging transients or gaps in output voltage from reaching the connected equipment. In addition, the ATS is rack-mountable requiring only 1 'U' of rack space. Use APC's MasterSwitch series or rack-mount power distribution units (PDUs) in conjunction with the ATS to fulfill your individual power requirements.

Step-Down Transformer
The Step-Down Transformer converts high voltage (208 or 200 VAC) output into low voltage (120 or 100 VAC) output for powering low voltage AC equipment.

Power Cords
Connect power distribution units (PDUs), outlet strips, remote controlled PDUs to UPSs, branch circuits, and networking equipment.

APC offers power cords (also known as jumper cords), which provide connector options to fulfill a variety of power requirements.

Use these power cords to connect your equipment to an APC Rack-Mount power distribution unit (PDU)/outlet strip, MasterSwitch product, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), or UPS.

These power cords can also be used to connect your APC Rack-Mount (PDU)/Outlet Strip to a power source, such as an APC UPS, ATS, or separate branch circuit.

NetworkAir RM Series
Rack-mount Air Distribution Unit.

The "NetworkAIR Air Distribution Unit" is a unique 2U rack-mounted fan unit that works with an existing precision air conditioning system to deliver cool air to the equipment contained in a rack enclosure. The Air Distribution Unit connects into the raised floor and pulls supply air directly into the enclosure thereby preventing the conditioned air from mixing with warmer room air before it reaches the equipment. In environments without raised floors, the Air Distribution Unit pulls supply air from around the bottom of the enclosure where the air is the coolest. With dual fans, the unit works to eliminate dangerous hot spots by boosting airflow within the enclosure and improves air delivery in poor static pressure areas, solving many of the heat issues today's data center manager faces.
